What Makes Us Different: FCI Certification & the Golden Crown Master Trainer Title

Not all dog trainers are created equal. The International Cynological Federation (FCI) is the world’s largest and most respected canine organization, governing breed standards and trainer certifications across more than 90 countries. Earning FCI certification requires rigorous testing, verified field experience, and adherence to the strictest training standards in the world.

Within that system, the Golden Crown Master Trainer designation is the pinnacle — awarded only to those who have demonstrated extraordinary mastery across obedience, protection, tracking, and working dog disciplines. Very few trainers in the United States hold this title. The Apex Force K9 team has multiple.

Martina brings a lifetime of working dog experience rooted in Europe’s most demanding training traditions. As a co-founder of Apex Force K9|Elite Protection Dogs, she has been instrumental in shaping the team’s philosophy: that a truly reliable protection dog must be both highly driven and completely stable in a family environment. Her eye for temperament, her precision in training, and her deep understanding of working dog breeds make her one of the most sought-after trainers in the country.

Laszlo Pek M. — Co-Founder & Golden Crown Master Trainer

Laszlo’s path to mastery began in Europe, where he trained under some of the most respected figures in the FCI world. He has spent decades perfecting the art of developing protection dogs that perform at the highest level — whether deployed in executive protection, estate security, or as a family’s most loyal guardian. His generational knowledge of breed selection, drive development, and advanced protection work forms the backbone of every dog that leaves the Apex Force K9|Elite Protection Dogs program.

Mark Pek M. — Trainer & FCI Certified Specialist

Mark grew up immersed in the world of working dogs, learning directly from Martina and Laszlo from an early age. That foundation, combined with his own FCI certification, has made him an exceptional trainer in his own right. Mark specializes in the final stages of client placement — ensuring that every dog transitions seamlessly into its new home and that every family feels confident, prepared, and protected from day one.

Meggi Pek Mrazovac — Trainer & FCI Certified Specialist
